Christmas - as a four letter word...

Well, hello and thanks for dropping by! I hope you like the card, had I known just how long it was going to take to produce I might have thought again... did I have to overprint three colours? Will I ever print on a ridged stock again? Probably not! Letterpress printing is really slow, but that's the beauty of it. It's a lovely contrast to the digital world most of us 'creatives' inhabit.

First proper print job

...this years' Christmas card. Here's some photos of printing paraphernalia (and assistant) during production of the cards.

I wanted to create something large, so I could use some big wooden type, and overprint words on top of words and keep things legible. Showcasing the tactile quality of letterpress was important and it needed to be Christmassy.
